Photo credit: Nikki Nelson/WENN Parents of pop star Beyonce Knowles are officially divorced. Matthew and Tina Knowles who were married for 31 years finalized the process after postponing it once in early 2010.
Tina filed for divorce from Matthew in November 2009 after finding out that he has fathered a child outside the marriage. TMZ reported that the love child was proven to be his. Tina said in the divorce papers that the marriage was "insupportable because of discord or conflict of personalities [which] prevents any reasonable expectation of reconciliation."
The couple, who got married in 1980, failed to show up at a court hearing last year, prompting the divorce petition to be dropped. But Tina refiled the divorce papers in August and it was finalized in November in Texas.
Situation is different for their daughter. Beyonce and her husband Jay-Z are expecting their first child in February.
