Blue Ivy photos: Beyonce and Jay Z's baby pictured in stunning shots

A special website, Hello Blue Ivy Carter, features five photos of the couple and baby guaranteed to have even the most baby-phobic cynic cooing

At last! The first pictures of Beyonce and Jay-Z's baby Blue Ivy have been published - and as you'd expect she's a beauty.
A special website, Hello Blue Ivy Carter, has been set up featuring five photos of the couple and baby which are guaranteed to have even the most baby-phobic cynic cooing.

In two portrait shots of the month-old future superstar - who by the looks of her thick, full head of hair has been borrowing mum's conditioner - she is seen wrapped up snug.
There's also one snap each of the proud mum and dad each holding their precious daughter while a final touching close-up photo shows Blue Ivy's fingers touching her mum's.
An introduction on the website reads: "We welcome you to share in our joy. Thank you for respecting our privacy during this beautiful time in out lives. The Carter Family."
Baby Blue Ivy, the celebrity couple's first born, arrived on 7 January. However, Beyonce has been spotted back in stunning shape, seemingly untroubled by baby weight or sleepless nights.

Finally! Beyoncé Makes First Post-Baby Appearance in New York City

And now our assumptions are confirmed: Beyoncé looks amazing after giving birth to a baby.
Bey-Bey made her first public appearance Monday night to celebrate hubby Jay-Z's two anticipated shows at Carnegie Hall to benefit United Way of New York City and the Shawn Carter Scholarship Foundation.

The curvaceous beauty was all smiles and looked absolutely gorgeous in a red, long-sleeve Alice Temperly dress, which she accessorized with Ofira & Lorraine Schwartz jewels, an Alexander McQueen clutch and a pair of seriously fierce embroidered Christian Louboutin platform pumps.
Despite outlets reporting exclusive interviews, B has not made any appearances or given any interviews since her daughter Blue Ivy Carter was born. She did, however, make a personal statement on her blog after singer Etta James passed away.
But now that she's come out, maybe Beyoncé is ready to gush about her new little girl just like her BFF did?

Jay-Z, Beyonce, U2, Lady Gaga Rank on Billboard Power 100 List

You may not know Irving Azoff by face, or even by name, but rest assured that the chairman of Live Nation -- the world's largest promoter, ticketing company and artist management group -- is the most powerful person in the music industry. Azoff topped the first-ever Billboard Power 100 list, a ranking of where power and influence resides in the music business and the industries that intersect with it. While most of the executives on the list are behind-the-scenes power players like Azoff, there are 11 names that even casual music fans will instantly recognize.

The power couple of Shawn "Jay-Z" Carter and Beyonce Knowles is ranked collectively at No. 13 on the list. As artists, both have enjoyed remarkable successes: He holds the record for the most No. 1 albums on the Billboard 200, topping that chart with 12 albums and selling 28 million units in the U.S. along the way, according to Nielsen SoundScan, while she has racked up sales of more than 29 million units from sales of her solo albums and as part of Destiny's Child.

But the Billboard Power 100 list is about more than album and ticket sales; the artists featured are all actively involved in making impactful business decisions for their careers. In the case of Beyonce, she has recently been behind multi-million-dollar branding deals with L'Oreal, Coty and Target, and her clothing line House of Dereon continues to boast an international presence. Meanwhile, Jay-Z is one of the most celebrated artists to make the jump from the stage to the boardroom. He served as CEO of Def Jam Records and, in 2008, brokered a deal with Live Nation (said to be worth $150 million) to create Roc Nation, a management, music and entertainment company with a roster that includes Rihanna, J. Cole, Willow Smith and Ester Dean. His interests outside of music (Rocawear, Translation Advertising and stakes in 40/40 Club and the New Jersey Nets) have also grabbed headlines and helped to feed his bottom line.

Moving from hip-hop to rock, U2 and their manager Paul McGuinness rank at No. 27 on the list. According to Billboard Boxscore, U2's 360° tour grossed $736,421,586, earning it a place in the record books as the most successful concert tour in history. It's a feat not likely to be matched anytime soon.

Singer/songwriters Lukasz "Dr. Luke" Gottwald and Martin Karl "Max Martin" Sandberg are ranked at nos. 30 and 83 respectively. Both have written and produced seemingly more hits than anybody else in the last seven years. Their credits separately and together include chart-toppers recorded by Katy Perry, P!nk, Adam Lambert, Avril Lavigne, Britney Spears, Kelly Clarkson, Taio Cruz, Ke$ha, Backstreet Boys and Miley Cyrus.

Since 2000, Bon Jovi -- the biggest self-managed music act in the world -- has sold 13 million tickets and grossed nearly $1 billion at the box office (according to Billboard Boxscore). Not only does frontman Jon Bon Jovi, who ranks at no. 50, take the helm onstage, he runs the business of the band behind the scenes as well. Those who work with the New Jersey native tout his drive and business instincts nearly as often as his songs and vocal chops.

"American Idol" host Ryan Seacrest comes in at No. 64, largely for his syndicated, daily Clear Channel radio show "On Air," heard in more than 150 markets, his eight-plus-year run as host of "American Top 40" and his production company at NBC Universal. Potentially most significant to Seacrest's power is his new alliance with well-known businessman Mark Cuban, Creative Artists Agency and AEG to reshape HDNet into a new pop network (slated to called AXS TV) that will cater to pop-culture and entertainment enthusiasts.

Lorne Michaels (no. 66) reigns as the executive producer of "Saturday Night Live" and "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon." Lately, "SNL" has played a role in the recent successes of artists like Nicki Minaj, the Black Keys and Arcade Fire, and millions tuned in for the show's Christmas episode with Michael Bublé. Meanwhile, "Fallon" has given star-turns to up-and-coming acts like Odd Future and Bon Iver, and the show has devoted entire weeks to celebrating the music of iconic bands such as Rolling Stones and Pink Floyd, becoming the musical juggernaut of late-night TV.

Coming in at no. 78, Taylor Swift, who owns her own management company, has become a branding powerhouse as well as a chart-topping singer and songwriter. Her deals include a retail partnership with Target, a multimillion-dollar ad campaign and tour sponsorship with CoverGirl, a fragrance with Elizabeth Arden and a relationship with Sony Electronics. She has also designed her own clothing line for Walmart, appeared in ads for the National Hockey League and co-created her own doll, to boot.

Likewise, Lady Gaga (no. 84) has more going for her than music sales. Gaga, who is actively involved in her career decisions, seems to revolutionize everything she touches. Specifically, as her 18.4 million Twitter followers can attest, the Mother Monster has turned the idea of social marketing on its head; without her Little Monsters, there would be no Beliebers for Justin Bieber or Barbs for Nicki Minaj. Gaga's influence with fans has been entirely transformed through her branding deals. When Virgin Mobile sponsored her tour, for example, she worked the company into the show itself by way of a nightly phone call to a fan in the audience. Gaga also serves as the creative director for the Polaroid Grey Label and made a headline-grabbing presentation for the line at the 2011 Consumer Electronics Show.

Rounding out the list, Simon Cowell comes in at No. 100. With "American Idol" behind him, Cowell's "X Factor" flexed its muscles in 2011, launching five finalists from the British show's seventh season as potential global artists and landing the show on the air in the United States. Cowell's involvement in televised music competitions makes them ratings successes, and his combination of taste, honesty and snark makes people in the desirable 18-34 demo tune in week after week.  Article via Billboard.com

Beyoncé Gets A College Course, Possible Houston Monument

"Bootylicious" meets "The Color Purple" in a new college course based upon the musical repertoire and career of Beyoncé. Taught by Kevin Allred, a doctoral student and lecturer in the Department of Women's and Gender Studies, the class “Politicizing Beyoncé" aims to showcase how the superstar's music and career can help students understand race, gender, feminism and sexual politics in America.
Rare Fly Named After Beyonce In Australia
“This isn’t a course about Beyoncé’s political engagement or how many times she performed during President Obama’s inauguration weekend,” Allred says. He juxtaposes Beyoncé’s music videos and lyrics with readings from notables like Alice Walker and Sojourner Truth and according to Rutgers' Focus, "Course topics include the extent of Beyoncé’s control over her own aesthetic, whether her often half-naked body is empowered or stereotypical, and her more racy performances as her alter ego, “Sasha Fierce.” In-class discussions often lead to other vocalists, including Billie Holiday, Nina Simone, Lady Gaga, and contemporary musicians who embrace the soul singing tradition like Adele and the late Amy Winehouse."
In more Beyoncé world domination news, plans are underway for a monument to be built for the singer in her hometown of Houston, Texas. My Fox Houston reports that Marcus Mitchell and Washington D.C. native Steve White are the ones behind the loving tribute.
Oprah Not Godmother To Jay-Z And Beyonce's Blue Ivy
“We wanted to construct, like, a massive hall so as the doors open, if you donated to the monument, you'll have a separate nameplate,” Marcus said. “There will be clips of Beyonce with Destiny’s Child and wardrobe like a mini museum.” He continues, “We’ve gotten support from the city of Houston, from the mayor. We’re waiting for a very nice letter from the mayor right now.” The duo's company, Armdeonce Ventures, is currently looking for private donors for funding.
Per the company's website , the proceeds from this project will go towards several charities including Music for America, the Grammy Cares Foundation, Hurricane Katrina victims, flooding victims in the states of Tennessee, Alabama, and Mississippi, and other disaster and hunger victims around the world.

Beyoncé Pays Tribute to "Fearless" Etta James

The death of Etta James was a hard hit to the music world, but few felt the loss as much as Beyoncé.
"Etta James was one of the greatest vocalists of our time. I am so fortunate to have met such a queen," the new mom wrote on her blog.
James passed away early this morning from complications of leukemia at age of 73.
What else did Bey have to say about the "At Last" songstress?

Fat Joe; Chris Brown is the male Beyoncé

Fat Joe has revealed that he considers Chris Brown to be a male "sex symbol".

The rapper, who collaborated with Brown on 'Another Round', admitted that he was impressed by his fellow artist's adoring fanbase during the music video shoot for the track.

"You know, that guy, he's like the 'guy Beyoncé'," Joe told MTV News.

"This guy takes his shirt off - I played it for a couple of chicks before we released it and they just start goin' crazy and buggin' out like, 'Oh my God, yo'. You know, he's a sex symbol."

Brown was recently banned from doing interviews by his manager, who wants the artist to focus on his music.

Last month, Brown was rumoured to have reunited with ex-girlfriend Rihanna after the pair tweeted 'I love you' just minutes apart.

Report: Jay-Z and Beyonce Knowles to Shoot Music Video in Outer Space

Amidst buzzing news about the birth of their daughter, Blue Ivy Carter, it's reported that Jay-Z and Beyonce Knowles have a plan to film a music video in outer space. Rumor has it, the new parents will shoot the clip inside one of Sir Richard Branson's Virgin Galactic crafts.

"The label people have been talking about making a music video in space," a source told The Sun. "Beyonce and Jay-Z seemed the obvious option." The source furthermore claimed that "everything is being done to make it happen."

The flights to the outer space on the six-seater ships are expected to launch later this year. It will cost GBP780,000 each and blast passengers 70,000 ft into Earth's atmosphere. When passengers experience six minutes of weightlessness, the music video reportedly would be filmed.

Beyonce's Hospital Room Like a 5-Star Hotel [PICS]

Lenox Hill Hospital constructed a suite for VIPs which looks like a Four Seasons penthouse ... and the room was christened Saturday when Beyonce gave birth.

TMZ has obtained photos of the room where Blue Ivy came into this world, and it's baller.  There are 4 flat screen TV's, state of the art electronics, a kitchenette, nice art, mahogany walls and plush furnishings.  And take a look at the bed where Jay Z got some shut eye!

Sources connected with the hospital tell TMZ ... the suite was not constructed specifically for Beyonce, but it was always intended that Beyonce would be the first patient to use it.

Jay-Z & Beyonce's Daughter Blue Ivy Carter Becomes Youngest Person To Ever Appear On Billboard Chart Via "Glory"

Blue Ivy Carter is not even a week old and already she's made history by becoming the youngest person to appear on the Billboard charts.

Jay-Z featured Blue Ivy's first cries at the end of "Glory," a song he recorded and released just a couple of days after Beyonce gave birth.

Officially billed as "featuring B.I.C.," an abbreviation of Blue Ivy Carter -- "Glory" enters Billboard's R&B/Hip-Hop Songs at No. 74.

According to Billboard the song is Jay's 107th entry on the charts. The number is significant because it mirrors Blue Ivy's birth date of 1/07.

Little Blue sure knows how to make a grand entrance.
